Oliver Turner began his employment as Sault Ste. Marie City Manager in June 2014. He has previously served as the Village Manager for the Village of Almont, Michigan and has obtained additional local government experience with the City of Perrysburg, Ohio and retail management experience with BP Oil. Turner obtained his Master of Public Administration Degree from the University of Toledo and has a strong commitment to fostering transparency, accountability, responsiveness, and excellence in service delivery. Turner also maintains an open door policy that encourages feedback from citizens and stakeholders regarding municipal services as well as their recommendations for how services can be improved. Turner currently serves on the Michigan Local Government Management Association Board of Directors and is an active member of the International City/County Management Association and the Michigan Municipal League. Turner has also served previously on the I-69 International Trade Corridor Next Michigan Development Corporation Board of Directors. Turner also lives in the City of Sault Ste. Marie with his wife, Anna, and his two daughters, Amelia and Juliette. He believes that public managers are duty bound to serve their home communities and its elected officials with integrity, honesty, and pragmatism.

Lake Superior State University
Dr. David Roland Finley is Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Lake Superior State University (LSSU). LSSU has operations in Sault Ste. Marie, Petoskey, and Escanba/Iron Mountain, and the institution currently serves 2100 students with its bachelor and associate degree programs. In addition, Finley serves as dean of Business and Engineering. As dean, he leads LSSU's unique Product Development Center. He also serves on the Operation Action U.P. board of directors. Formerly Vice President for Academic Affairs at Trine University, Finley has a passion for engineering and entrepreneurship. His career began as an environmental consultant in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area, assessing the impact of industrial activities on the natural environment. Finley graduated with honors from the University of Michigan, and subsequently garnered a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit. He is also a registered Professional Engineer.

Member of EUP Regional Planning Board, LSSU Dir. of Intellectual Property & Economic Development as well as Engingeering Projects Manager for LSSU Product Development Center. Becks attended Lake Superior State College for 2 years then went on to Michigan State University for a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and System Science followed by a Masters from MSU in the same discipline.
